Panel Session on “How Women Entrepreneurs Can Turn Local Products into Regional Business Opportunities”
On June 18, 2026, within the framework of the International Trade Fair “Sughd-2026,” the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe organized a side event entitled “From FEZ to Online Export,” dedicated to exploring practical ways of expanding women-led businesses through cross-border e-commerce.
The panel session brought together business representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ) and women entrepreneurs operating their businesses within the territory of the Sughd FEZ.
Ms. M. Kayumova, Head of the International Relations and Investment Attraction Department of the Sughd FEZ Administration, delivered a speech on behalf of the Sughd Free Economic Zone. She emphasized that FEZs are not merely territories offering incentives, but ready-made platforms that facilitate unhindered access to international markets. She also noted that the development of women-led businesses through cross-border e-commerce has become increasingly relevant, and that selling products through online marketplaces provides greater flexibility in promoting trade activities.
During the panel session, Ms. Sh. Fayzulloeva delivered a detailed presentation on the incentives and preferences offered by the Sughd FEZ Administration.
Ms. O. Khazratzoda, Director of LLC “Donai Almos,” also presented a comprehensive overview of the company’s current operations and future development prospects.
By supporting women entrepreneurs with knowledge, business networking opportunities, and access to digital trade platforms, the OSCE contributed to strengthening women’s economic empowerment and promoting regional economic cooperation.
