OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE SUGHD REGION DELEGATION TO THE TYUMEN REGION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

As part of the working visit of the Sughd Region delegation to the Tyumen Region, a meeting was held between the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, and the Governor of Tyumen Region, Alexander Moor.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding interregional cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia. Both sides emphasized that the priority areas of cooperation between Sughd and Tyumen regions include industry and agriculture, healthcare, science and education, culture, and tourism. Special attention was given to the existing opportunities for developing cooperation and establishing joint ventures, particularly in processing agricultural products and cotton.

Chairman Rajabb Ahmadzoda stated that today’s meeting would serve as a solid foundation for further expansion of economic, social, and cultural ties between the two regions. “We have the opportunity to establish joint ventures and strengthen trade relations. Sughd Region has great industrial and agricultural potential that can contribute effectively to cooperation with the Tyumen Region,” Ahmadzoda emphasized.

In his speech, Governor Alexander Moor added: “Sughd Region is a clear example of rapid industrial and agricultural development. We are confident that, taking into account the strategic goals set by the leaders of our countries, our regions can make a valuable contribution to strengthening relations between Tajikistan and Russia.”

It should be noted that during their visit to the Tyumen Region, the delegation from Sughd Region toured the Tyumen Medical Center, the technopark, Tyumen State University, industrial enterprises, and tourism infrastructure facilities.

Official Visit of the Delegation of Sughd Region to Voronezh Region of the Russian Federation

In order to implement the directives and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, paid an official visit to the Voronezh Region of the Russian Federation.

As part of the visit, on May 30, an official meeting between the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, and the Governor of Voronezh, Alexander Gusev, was held in the Voronezh Government Hall. During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening interregional cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, agriculture, tourism, education, and culture.

Also during the visit, a joint business forum was held with the participation of a wide range of entrepreneurs and government representatives, where the economic potential of Sughd Region was presented. The Chairman highlighted the establishment of joint ventures, development of logistics centers, expansion of exports, and enhancement of tourism infrastructure as priority areas of cooperation.

It is worth noting that during the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, and the Head of the Administration of the Voronezh Free Economic Zone, Maksim Igorevich Trofimenko. This document will provide a favorable foundation for the creation of joint enterprises and the strengthening of trade and investment relations.

The official delegation of Sughd Region also visited several large industrial and logistics enterprises in Voronezh, including the “Pyaterochka” warehouse network, “Global Drinks” beverage production plant, “Kobil-Group” enterprise, and “Maslenitsa” company. Both parties expressed their readiness to establish joint ventures and export domestic products to the Russian Federation market.

At the end of the visit, a closing meeting of successful entrepreneurs from both regions was held at the Stol-von Holstein historical and cultural complex. During the event, the leaders of Sughd and Voronezh exchanged views on successful cooperation practices and discussed the development of industrial partnerships, support for the private sector, and the provision of incentives to entrepreneurs.

Participation of the Head of the Administration of the Sughd FEZ, M.S. Muhammadzoda, in the Economic and Trade Forum titled “Tajikistan – Belarus”

On May 27, 2025, the economic and trade forum titled “Tajikistan – Belarus” was held in the city of Guliston, Sughd Region, with the participation of business circles from Sughd Region of the Republic of Tajikistan and Minsk Region of the Republic of Belarus.

The forum was attended by the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajab Ahmadzoda, the Chairman of Minsk Region of the Republic of Belarus, Alexey Kushnarenko, heads of organizations and institutions, including the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Muhammad Sultan Muhammadzoda, as well as entrepreneurs from both sides.

The main goal of this event is to expand trade and investment relations, develop industrial and financial cooperation, attract investments for the creation of joint ventures, increase trade turnover, and find new partners.

Visit of “ALP MOTORS N1” Representatives to the FEZ “Sughd”

On May 22, 2025, Ms. Yao Gui Fang, the head of “ALP MOTORS N1”, visited the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ) to get acquainted with its activities and explore opportunities for future cooperation.
Mr. Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, Head of the Sughd FEZ, warmly welcomed the guests in the conference hall of the FEZ Administration and provided detailed information about the zone’s activities, benefits, and advantages.
The Director of “ALP MOTORS N1” also shared insights into the company’s operations, which focus on the production of electric bicycles and tricycles, currently based in the “Kokand” FEZ of the Fergana region, Republic of Uzbekistan.
Following the fruitful meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of expanding economic cooperation and expressed the intention to establish their own manufacturing facility in the Sughd FEZ in the future.

Presentation of the Certificate of FEZ “Sughd” Entity Status to LLC “Sughd Agro Trade”

It is also reported that on May 20, 2025, within the framework of the press tour held at the Sughd FEZ, a new entity named LLC “Sughd Agro Trade” was officially registered. The Head of the Sughd FEZ Administration, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, presented the official certificate of FEZ entity status to the company’s leadership in the presence of the guests.

It is worth noting that LLC “Sughd Agro Trade” was founded by a local entrepreneur, Zokirjon Otaboboev, with a total investment amounting to 1 million USD. The company specializes in the processing and packaging of rice using innovative (laser) technologies. The enterprise’s annual production capacity is 1,600 tons. Once fully operational, the company will provide 25 permanent jobs for local residents.

In conclusion, the leadership of the Sughd FEZ Administration and representatives of the media expressed their congratulations and best wishes to the company’s management on the establishment of the new enterprise.

Online meeting with members of the Russia–Tajikistan Business Council at the XVI International Economic Forum “Kazan Forum” 2025

On May 15, 2025, the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, delivered an online speech during a virtual meeting with members of the Russia–Tajikistan Business Council at the XVI International Economic Forum “Kazan Forum” 2025.

The Head of the Administration provided information about the activities and benefits of the Sughd FEZ, as well as details regarding the operations of joint ventures functioning within the region.

Cleanup day in FEZ “Sughd”

On Saturday, at the initiative of the Head of the Sughd FEZ, Mr. Muhammadzoda M.S., and with the involvement of employees and enterprises located within the Sughd FEZ, a general community cleanup day was held.

During the event, participants, driven by a strong work ethic, engaged in cleaning, landscaping, and beautifying the surrounding environment. Streets and sidewalks were swept, waste was collected, and transported to designated locations.

The main goal of such events is to improve environmental cleanliness, create favorable conditions for work and economic activity, and foster a sense of responsibility among employees and companies.

Visit of the Director of the Institute of Ecology and Geography of the City of Xinjiang, People’s Republic of China, Ms. Wan Lixian, to the Administration of the Free Economic Zone «Sughd»

On May 14, 2025, Ms. Wan Lixian, Director of the Institute of Ecology and Geography of the city of Xinjiang, People’s Republic of China, visited the Administration of the Free Economic Zone «Sughd» to get acquainted with its activities and economic relations.
The Head of the Administration of the FEZ «Sughd», Mr. Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, warmly welcomed the guests in the conference hall and provided detailed information about the zone’s operations and benefits. Additionally, Ms. U. Rahimova, the leading specialist of the Department of International Relations and Investment Attraction, presented information to the guests through an electronic presentation.
The parties held discussions about existing Tajik-Chinese joint ventures and Chinese private enterprises operating within the FEZ «Sughd», as well as cooperation with reputable Chinese companies, expressing intentions to further strengthen economic relations in the future.
At the end of the visit, the guests visited one of the FEZ entities — LLC “Asiapolitex” — and held a conversation with its representatives.
