Representatives of the (RUMTI) Project of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Visited FEZ “Sughd”

On January 28, 2026, representatives of the (RUMTI) project of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation paid a study visit to the Free Economic Zone “Sughd” within the framework of the project.

The project representatives, led by Abdulvohid Boronov, familiarized themselves with the production process of LLC “Asiapoliteks.”

The guests then visited LLC “Donai Almos,” where they observed the production process and held discussions with the company’s management.

The delegation also visited the construction site of the Logistics Center and became acquainted with the progress of construction works.

Following visits to the production enterprises, the delegation arrived at the Administration of FEZ “Sughd.”

The guests were warmly welcomed in the conference hall by the Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammad Muhamadzoda Sultan, who provided detailed information about the activities, advantages, and incentives of the Zone.

The representatives of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, led by Abdulvohid Boronov, expressed their gratitude to the Administration’s leadership for the warm reception and comprehensive information provided, and stated their intention to take steps toward continuing and expanding cooperation.

The guests noted that the meeting serves as a solid foundation for further partnership and expressed their interest in focusing on the exchange of practical experience in the field of production.

MEETING TO SUMMARIZE THE 2025 PERFORMANCE OF THE FEZ “SUGHD” ADMINISTRATION AND SET TASKS FOR 2026

On January 20, 2026, a working meeting was held at the conference hall of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration under the chairmanship of the Head of the Administration, Muhammad Muhamadzoda Sultan. The meeting focused on summarizing the results of the Administration’s and FEZ “Sughd” residents’ activities in 2025, as well as setting objectives for 2026.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Heads of the Administration, heads of departments and divisions, as well as directors and chief accountants of the Zone’s resident companies.

The session was opened with introductory remarks by the Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammad M. S. A detailed report on the 2025 performance results was delivered in presentation format by the First Deputy Head of the Administration, Nasimjon Abdughanievich Hakimov.

Muhamadzoda M.S. assigned specific tasks to the participants in line with the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, particularly regarding the country’s industrialization policy and the special attention given to entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs, as outlined in his annual Address delivered on December 16, 2025.

At the same time, the Head of the Administration positively assessed the activities of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration and its resident entities in 2025. He issued instructions aimed at further improving efficiency, enhancing infrastructure conditions, increasing the number of new jobs, ensuring timely payment for electricity and land lease fees, raising the average wages of employees, installing solar panels at enterprises, organizing community clean-up days within the Zone, planting evergreen trees and seasonal flowers on company premises, and continuing the construction of pedestrian pathways along the main roads of the Zone.

In conclusion, the Administration’s leadership provided additional guidance and recommendations to further intensify production and export activities and to attract both domestic and foreign investment.

VISIT OF A DELEGATION OF INVESTORS FROM THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC TO FEZ “SUGHD”

On January 19, 2026, a delegation of investors from the Kyrgyz Republic visited the Free Economic Zone “Sughd.” The delegation was led by Mr. Elbek Khabibulloev, representative of the Kyrgyz Garment Association, Ms. Diloramkhan Duishabaeva, and Ms. Aigul Nurmatovna Zholdoshova, Head of the textile company LLC “Ecotex” of the Kyrgyz Republic. The purpose of the visit was to ознаком themselves with the activities and opportunities of FEZ “Sughd.”

The guests were warmly welcomed at the entrance of FEZ “Sughd” by the First Deputy Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, N.A. Hakimov, and the Deputy Head of the Administration, D.M. Ne’matzoda. They provided the delegation with detailed information about the Zone’s operations, advantages, and incentives.

In addition, the Administration introduced the investors to the activities of FEZ “Sughd” resident LLC “Asiapoliteks,” whose line of business is similar to that of the visiting company.

After ознакомление with the production process and holding discussions with the company’s management, the delegation of investors from the Kyrgyz Republic considered it appropriate to conclude a cooperation agreement in the future.

At the end of the visit, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen economic cooperation.

Participation of the Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, in the Award Ceremony of the National Competition “Best Exporter of Tajikistan”

On December 11, 2025, the award ceremony for the winners of the national competition “Best Exporter of Tajikistan” was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dushanbe.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulaimon Ziyozoda; the Director of the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahriddin Sirojiddin; heads of domestic and foreign companies and enterprises; representatives of organizations and institutions; as well as entrepreneurs.

It was a matter of pride and honor for the staff of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration and the entities of the zone that the Free Economic Zone “Sughd” was declared the winner of the “Best Exporter of Tajikistan” competition in the nomination “Best Exporter of a Free Economic Zone” and was awarded a prize and a diploma. It is reported that the prize and diploma were presented to the Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, by the Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Aziz Nazar.

It should also be noted that FEZ “Sughd” entities — LLC “Donai Almos”, LLC “Sayr Sughd”, and LLC JV TT “Tajprof” — participated in the “Best Exporter of Tajikistan” competition and were awarded prizes and diplomas.

Visit of Investors from the People’s Republic of China to the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”

On December 6, 2025, an investor from the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Chun Xia Huang, Head of Chunhui Education Group of Sichuan Province, PRC, along with Mr. Dmitry Srybny, Representative of LLC “Chunhui International” for the CIS countries, paid a visit to the Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd”.

The Deputy Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Nasimjon Abduganievich Hakimov, warmly welcomed the guests at the entrance of the Administration building and provided detailed information on the activities, advantages, and incentives of the zone, also expressing readiness to establish cooperation with investors from the People’s Republic of China.

The guests then visited several FEZ “Sughd” entities, including LLC “Asiapolitex”, LLC KF “Fortuna-Ko”, and LLC “Sayr Sughd”, where they met with the management of these enterprises.

At the conclusion of the visit, the parties expressed their interest in future cooperation.

Visit of Representatives of the Green Economy Financing Facility in the Republic of Tajikistan (GEEF-II) to the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”

On December 4, 2025, based on the letter of the Executive Authority of State Power of Sughd Region dated August 20, 2025, No. 1890-7/23, at the initiative of the second phase of the Green Economy Financing Facility in the Republic of Tajikistan (GEEF-II), financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and implemented in cooperation with the Investment and Credit Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan (ICB), a seminar aimed at increasing awareness of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd” entities on green technologies was held in the conference hall of the new building of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration.

At the opening of the event, the Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, welcomed the representatives of the Program and the management of the FEZ “Sughd” entities to the new administrative building. He emphasized that the organization of this seminar was a necessary and timely initiative and instructed the management of the FEZ “Sughd” entities to establish cooperation with the Program. It was also noted that one of the FEZ “Sughd” entities, LLC KF “Fortuna-Ko”, has installed solar panels at its production facility, covering nearly 60% of its electricity consumption.

During the event, GEEF-II program experts Parvin Jabbarov and Sadriddin Juraev delivered presentations on the Program as well as on green technologies and products that contribute to saving energy, water, and resources, including information on available grant support.

Useful information and opportunities regarding the use of renewable energy sources, particularly the wide application of solar panels to supply enterprises operating within the FEZ “Sughd”, were also presented.

In addition, Jovid Khoshmatov, Director of LLC “Oftob Energy”, presented information on the company’s services, terms and conditions, and opportunities for the import, installation, and further use of solar panels, which are considered environmentally friendly and energy-efficient sources of power. Representatives of the Investment and Credit Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan provided information on the bank’s loan products and opportunities to obtain grant support under the GEEF-II Program.

Following the question-and-answer session, the parties concluded that, based on technical studies and analyses, they would cooperate with the Investment and Credit Bank of Tajikistan and service companies to gradually transition to a green energy system.

WORKING VISIT OF THE HEAD OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF FEZ “SUGD”, MUHAMMADZODA MUHAMMAD SULTON, TO THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN

From 10 to 15 November 2025, a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, consisting of representatives of ministries and agencies, as well as the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and the heads of the Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit was to study the advanced experience of Free Economic Zones and digitalization solutions.

The Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sugd”, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan with the aim of expanding economic cooperation, attracting more foreign investments, and finding new business partners. During the meetings and negotiations, he highlighted the advantages, incentives, and favorable investment climate of FEZ “Sugd”.

As part of the trip, the Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sugd”, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, also visited the “Alat” Free Economic Zone of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of this visit was to familiarize himself with the activities of production enterprises and study advanced innovative practices. During the visit, the parties exchanged views on economic cooperation, implementation of joint industrial projects, and attracting additional investments. During the meeting, in order to expand future cooperation and strengthen investment opportunities, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sugd” and the Head of the Administration of FEZ “Alat” of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Visit of Representatives of “Salar Sang” Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone

On October 24, 2025, representatives of the Iranian company “Salar Sang,” headed by Mr. Dehkon Muhammad, visited the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone.
The Deputy Head of the Administration of the Sughd FEZ, Mr. N.A. Hakimov, warmly welcomed the guests and provided detailed information about the activities, advantages, and incentives of the Sughd FEZ.
During the meeting, the guests noted that “Salar Sang” company in Iran produces artificial stone using local raw materials and plans to establish this line of production in the Republic of Tajikistan with the use of modern technologies.
Following the fruitful meeting, the guests expressed their intention to continue economic cooperation in the future, considering the favorable investment conditions in the Sughd FEZ.
