Participation of the Representative of the Administration of the “Sughd” Free Economic Zone in the International Investment Forum “Khatlon Invest 2025” in the City of Bokhtar, Khatlon Region

On November 11, 2025, the International Investment Forum “Khatlon Invest 2025” was held in the city of Bokhtar, Khatlon Region.

The forum was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of Khatlon Region, Davlatali Said. Afterwards, representatives of ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Government of Khatlon Region, and embassies accredited in Tajikistan participated, including:

•Sherali Kabir – Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan;

•Sulton Rahimzoda – Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan;

•Holger Wiefel – Co-Chair of the Development Partners Coordination Council, Head of the EBRD Representation in Tajikistan;

•Sergey Valeryevich Fedotov – Deputy Head of the Government of Penza Region, Russian Federation;

•Bakitnur Bakituly – Deputy Akim of Almaty Region, Republic of Kazakhstan;

•Alisher Isomidinovich Zakirov – Deputy Hokim of Kashkadarya Region, Republic of Uzbekistan;

and other representatives of ministries, agencies, as well as domestic and foreign entrepreneurs.

 

The main goal of the forum was to present the investment opportunities of Khatlon Region, attract domestic and foreign investors to establish production and service enterprises, find development partners, sign joint projects and agreements, and promote the creation of permanent jobs in the region.

 

The event brought together representatives of international financial and business institutions from Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Iran, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, China, and Turkey, as well as local and foreign entrepreneurs.

 

A representative of the Administration of the “Sughd” Free Economic Zone, Mr. S. Gafurov, also took part in the forum and held discussions with local and foreign business circles to strengthen trade and economic relations and attract direct foreign investment.

 

Within the framework of the forum, an exhibition of local manufacturers’ products was also organized, allowing participants to learn more about the investment potential of the region.
