NEXT PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE ADMINISTRATION OF SUGHD FEZ


On August 1, 2025, a press conference was held at the Sughd FEZ Administration building to summarize the socio-economic activities of the Sughd FEZ for the first half of 2025. During the event, the Head of the Administration, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, briefed media representatives on the achievements of Sughd FEZ.
In his speech, it was noted that in January-June 2025, the Sughd FEZ Administration implemented necessary measures in line with the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, directives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as well as the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Free Economic Zones”, the Charter of Sughd FEZ, and the 2025 work plan of the zone.
Currently, 44 entities are registered in the Sughd FEZ, 21 of which are engaged in production, construction, and service activities.
The total volume of industrial production in the first six months of 2025 amounted to 251.3 million somoni, which is 139.4% or 71.0 million somoni more compared to the same period in 2024.
The volume of construction and service works during the reporting period reached 1.85 million somoni.
It should be noted that the sales market for the products of Sughd FEZ entities includes, besides Tajikistan, countries such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Iraq, and Turkey.
The export volume of entities during the reporting period amounted to 86.3 million somoni, which is 186.6% or 40.0 million somoni more compared to the same period in 2024.
Direct investments in January-June 2025 amounted to 30.5 million somoni, which is 107.4% or 2.1 million somoni more compared to the same period of the previous year (28.4 million somoni). Since the start of Sughd FEZ’s activities, the total volume of investments has reached 248.8 million somoni.
Investments during this period were primarily provided by 9 companies, including Sayr Sughd LLC, Tajprof LLC, Afrang Plastic LLC, Tojpanel LLC, River Sughd Pharm LLC, Bunyodi Sughd LLC, Samandi Sughd LLC, Polinur LLC, and Sang Oro LLC.
During the reporting period, the total number of jobs in Sughd FEZ reached 950, which is 107.3% or 65 new jobs more than in the same period of the previous year (885 jobs).
In the first six months of 2025, Sughd FEZ entities contributed 6.5 million somoni to the state budget through income tax and social tax payments, which is 2.6 million somoni more compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, 25 meetings and virtual negotiations were held with domestic and foreign investors and diplomatic corps, and the Administration’s leadership undertook four business trips.
Beautification and landscaping work within Sughd FEZ territory remains a constant priority for the Administration, with urgent measures being implemented.
The Sughd FEZ Administration continues to enhance its activities to achieve the fourth national goal of rapid industrialization and will continue striving to strengthen achievements in this area, ensuring the timely implementation of the Government’s instructions, resolutions, and programs of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Media representatives held a Q&A session with the Head of Sughd FEZ Administration, receiving comprehensive answers to their inquiries.
In conclusion, the Head of Sughd FEZ Administration, Muhammadzoda M.S., expressed gratitude to media representatives for their continuous cooperation with Sughd FEZ and acknowledged their significant contribution to the region’s industrial development.
Afterward, media representatives visited several Sughd FEZ enterprises, including Afrang Plastic LLC, Sayyohi Sughd LLC, and Fortuna-Ko LLC, and had discussions with the management of these companies.
