As previously reported, the Head of Administration of Sughd FEZ, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, is on a business visit to the PRC, where he is participating in the International Business Forum at the invitation of the Chinese side.
On May 16, according to the forum’s program, participants took part in the Construction and Industrial Exhibition held at the Xinjiang International Exhibition Center, where products from local manufacturing companies were presented.


At the opening ceremony, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton gave a presentation on activities of Sughd FEZ. He began his speech by praising China’s significant role in Tajikistan’s economic development and strong trade relations between Tajik and Xinjiang businessmen, as well as the consolidated friendly and cultural ties between two countries. He then highlighted the advantages of FEZ, including its favorable economic conditions, special legal regime, and tax benefits provided to its subjects.


He noted that more than thirty local and joint companies, including those with Chinese investments, successfully operate in Sughd FEZ.

Additionally, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in the People’s Republic of China gave a presentation on the favorable business atmosphere of Tajikistan.


After the opening ceremony, participants toured the exhibition and learned about local Chinese industrial and construction companies’ achievements. The head of Sughd FEZ held negotiations with representatives of these companies to discuss establishing cooperation and organizing joint companies in the FEZ, emphasizing its preferences for producing in-demand goods to Tajikistan and Central Asia markets.


The delegation of Tajikistan will continue its work in Qingdao and Linyi cities of Shandong Province within the framework of the forum.
