
PARTICIPATION AND SPEECH OF THE HEAD OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE SUGHD FEZ AT THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM “DIGITALIZATION OF FREE ECONOMIC ZONES IN THE CONTEXT OF EURASIAN COUNTRIES”
On 27 August 2026, the International Forum “Digitalization of Free Economic Zones in the Context of Eurasian Countries” was held in the city of Guliston, Sughd Region, with the participation of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Economic Affairs, Mr. Hikmatullozoda Ne’matullo, and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali.
The Forum brought together representatives of international organizations, experts and guests from various countries, as well as domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and investors.
During his speech, Muhammad Mukhammad Sulton, Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ), addressed the issue of administrative digitalization of free economic zones and its role in their further development. He noted that digitalization is one of the key areas for the sustainable development of free economic zones and that the use of modern information technologies can make management processes and service delivery more transparent and efficient.
The speech presented the experience of the Sughd FEZ in the use of digital technologies, the development of electronic services, electronic data exchange, the digitalization of internal administrative processes, and the improvement of the quality of services provided to the Zone’s entities.
It was emphasized that establishing a unified digital environment for free economic zones can create favorable conditions for reducing administrative barriers, lowering business costs, increasing the transparency of entities’ activities, and attracting a greater number of investors.
The Forum also provided an opportunity for an exchange of experience between representatives of free economic zones and relevant institutions from Eurasian countries. Issues related to strengthening international cooperation and implementing joint digitalization projects were discussed.
It is worth noting that, during the Forum, cooperation agreements were signed between the leadership of the Sughd FEZ and four new entities of the Sughd FEZ. In addition, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan presented diplomas and awards to the best exporters and active producers among the entities of the Sughd FEZ — LLC “Sayr Sughd”, Tajik-Turkish Joint Venture LLC “Tajprof”, LLC “Real”, Joint Venture LLC “Fortuna-Co”, and LLC “Aziapolitex”.
The participation of the Administration of the Sughd FEZ in such international events contributes to promoting the region’s investment opportunities, exchanging best practices, and strengthening international cooperation.
