The 19th Meeting of the Tajikistan–Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Held in Brest

 
On July 28, 2026, the 19th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in the city of Brest. The meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as interregional relations between Tajikistan and Belarus. They also considered ways to expand cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, education, healthcare, and other areas of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, the Protocol of the 19th Meeting of the Tajikistan–Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Roadmap for the Further Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus were signed.
It is also worth noting that, within the framework of the representatives’ participation in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the State Institution Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone and the Brest Free Economic Zone. The agreement provides for the implementation of a set of joint initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and increasing the volume of trade between the two countries.
