VISIT BY UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA’S STUDENTS TO SUGHD FEZ

On May 29, this year, about thirty students and several teachers from the University of Central Asia’s economic program that is based in the heart of GBAO Khorog town visited Sughd FEZ.

Their purpose was to familiarize themselves with the activities of Sughd FEZ, one of Tajikistan’s successful free zones. The visit included tours of several FEZ companies such as the Institute of Industry and Service, Asiapolitex LLC, TT JV Archa Mebel LLC, and TT JV Fortuna-Co LLC.
The students received comprehensive information from the representatives of these companies and showed great interest in their activities and products. Memorable photographs were taken during the visit to each company.

At the end of the tour, the students and teachers expressed gratitude to the management of Sughd FEZ and its companies for providing them with the opportunity to explore the FEZ. They also expressed their desire to continue cooperating in organizing similar study and practical visits.

VISIT OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF MINSK REGION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

In the afternoon of February 8, 2024 a delegation of representatives of the Minsk region of the Republic of Belarus led by the Deputy Chairman of the Sughd region Anvar Yakubi visited the Sughd FEZ to get acquainted with the activities of the Sughd FEZ and develop investment relations.

Deputy Head of the Administration of the Sughd FEZ Hakimov N.A. warmly welcomed the guests, spoke about the preferences and benefits provided in the free zone, and introduced the products manufactured by its residents.

Then the guests visited several enterprises of the Sughd FEZ, including LLC JV TT Tajprof and LLC JV Fortuna-Co, and talked with the heads of the enterprises.

VISIT OF ENTREPRENEURS TO SUGHD FEZ FROM UZBEKISTAN

On February 8, 2024, a delegation of entrepreneurs from the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Sughd FEZ to get acquainted and cooperate with its Administration.

Deputy Head of the Sughd FEZ Administration Hakimov N.A. warmly welcomed the guests in the conference hall of the Sughd FEZ Administration and they were provided with detailed information about the activities, privileges, and advantages of the Sughd FEZ.

Then the entrepreneurs of the Republic of Uzbekistan were informed about the favorable investment climate in the Sughd FEZ that brought them to express their desire to become a subject soon.

PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE ADMINISTRATION OF FEZ “SUGHD” ABOUT THE RESULTS OF ACTIVITIES IN 2022

On February 9, 2023, in the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” was held  a press conference about the results of the activities of the FEZ “Sughd” in 2022, where the Head of the Administration Kamoliddinzoda Ilyosiddin Jamoliddin informed the representatives of the regional and republican mass media about the achievements and plans of the FEZ “Sughd”.

          During the speech, it was noted that the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” has implemented the necessary measures in order to performance the instructions and orders of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the tasks and orders of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan ” About free economic zones”, Regulation of the free economic zone “Sughd”, and the work plan of the FEZ “Sughd” for 2022.

Head of Administration Kamoliddinzoda I. noted that in 2022, the volume production of industrial products, services and construction of FEZ “Sughd” acconted 412.5 mln. somoni, that this increased by 111.4 million somoni or 37% compared to the 2021. Also, in the reporting period, the volume of export products of the subjects accounted 135.3 million somoni, that it increased by 30.1 million. somoni or 28.6% compared to the 2021.

During the meeting, it was mentioned that in 2022, investments were mainly provided by 7 companies, including LLC “Ohankor”, LLC “Aziapolitex”, LLC “Donai Almas”, LLC “Pokzarf”, LLC “Khujand Plast”, LLC JV TT “Archa-mebel” and LLC JV TT “Tajprof”, that the manufactured products were mainly exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Germany, Iraq, Turkey and Russia. 

It was also noted that in 2022 the amount of direct investment accounted 23.7 million somoni, which has increased by 30.9% compared to the last year (18.1 million somoni), and since the beginning of the activity of the FEZ “Sughd” it has equaled be 138.9 million somoni.

In 2022, the total number of jobs in the FEZ “Sughd” equaled by 799 people, which is 25 more jobs than in 2021 (774 people).

This year, in public budget due to the payment of relevant taxes (income tax and social tax) were entered 4.95 mln. somoni from subjects of the FEZ “Sughd”.

During this period, the amount of payment of customs duty and value added tax to the budget accounted 33.6 million somoni due to the subjects of the FEZ “Sughd”, which increased by 1.8 million somoni compared to 2021.

It was also noted during the meeting that were signed memorandums with the representatives of the FEZ “Jizzakh” and FEZ “Kukand” of Fergana region of the Republic of Uzbekistan and FEZ “Osminozhka” of the Russian Federation.

In conclusion of the press conference, the Head of the Administration noted that in the first quarter of 2023 in the FEZ “Sughd” is planned the opening of a production enterprise LLC “Asiapolitex”, and there more than 150-200 people will be provided with new jobs.

PARTICIPATION OF THE LEADER OF ADMINISTRATION FEZ “SUGHD” AND ITS SUBJECTS INVOLVED IN THE REPUBLICAN COMPETITION “THE BEST EXPORTER OF TAJIKISTAN” IN THE CITY OF DUSHANBE

On November 28, 2022, the head of FEZ “Sughd” I.J. Kamoliddinzoda participated in the ceremony of summarizing the results of the Republican Competition “The Best Exporter of Tajikistan”, which was held by the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe city.

At this ceremony, FEZ “SUGD” was selected as the best exporter according to the relevant nominations of the Rules established by the Competition, and was recognized as the winner of the “Best Exporter of Tajikistan” in 2021 years, competition with a prize and certificate.

Also, the entities of FEZ Sughd, LLC JV TT  “Tajprof” and OJS “Ariana metall plast” FEZ last” were recognized as winners in the “Industrial” nomination with the award and certificate of this competition.

PARTICIPATION OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE FEZ “SUGHD” IN THE INVESTMENT FORUM “MADE IN TJ” IN THE GULISTAN CITY, SUGHD REGION

Representatives of the administration of the FEZ “Sughd” and its subjects headed by the first deputy Head of the administration Zikriyozoda Sukhrob participated in the Investment Forum “Made in Tj”, which was held by the Public Fund “Entrepreneurship and Development” (Accelerate prosperity) on November 24, 2022 at the training center of the National Bank of Gulistan city, Sughd region.

It should be noted that within the framework of the forum, an exhibition was held where manufacturers of goods from the Sughd region, as well as subjects of the FEZ “Sughd”, such as LLC JV TT “Silcoat Boya” and OJS “Ariana Metal Plast” presented domestic industrial products to the foreign guests.

On November 9, 2022, а delegation of Turkish entrepreneurs visited the FEZ of “Sugd”. The Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” Kamoliddinzoda Ilyosiddin introduced the guests to the activities, conditions and possibilities of the FEZ “Sughd”.

         Within the framework of this meeting, the guests introduced with the activities of  LLC JV TT “Tajprof”, LLC JV TT «Archa-Mebel LLC” and OJS “Ariana Metal Plast”.
