On March 15, 2025, with the aim of improving the appearance and maintaining the cleanliness of the buildings of FEZ “Sughd,” a collective clean-up was held. The staff of the administration of FEZ “Sughd” actively participated in the event, making a significant contribution to the cleanliness and landscaping of the area. Additionally, the surrounding areas, roads, and ditches within the territory of FEZ “Sughd” were cleaned of waste and dry grass, and 120 evergreen seedlings were planted.
On March 14, 2025, graduating students of the Faculty of World Economy at Khujand University of Economics and Trade visited FEZ “Sughd”.The students were welcomed in the conference hall of FEZ “Sughd” by the Deputy Head of FEZ “Sughd,” Hakimov N.A. Then, the Chief Specialist of the Department of International Relations and Investment Attraction, Halimboyzoda Ozodjon, conducted a presentation, providing the students with detailed information about the activities of FEZ “Sughd” and its entities.The purpose of the students’ visit to FEZ “Sughd” was to familiarize themselves with and deepen their knowledge of industrial enterprises. In this regard, they visited several entities within FEZ “Sughd,” including LLC “KF Fortuna Co” and LLC “Asiapolitex,” where they received information about their operations. Additionally, during the visit, students learned about new developments in industrial enterprises and modern technologies, which will help them further enhance their knowledge and professional skills. At the end of the visit, the teachers and students expressed their gratitude to the leadership of FEZ “Sughd”.
Visit of the Delegation of Entrepreneurs from the People’s Republic of China to the Administration of FEZ “Sughd”
On the afternoon of March 12, 2025, a delegation of entrepreneurs from China, led by the Deputy Chairman of Sughd Region, Anvar Yakubi, visited the Administration of FEZ “Sughd” to familiarize themselves with its activities and expand investment cooperation.
The Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sughd,” Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, warmly welcomed the guests at the entrance of FEZ “Sughd” and organized visits to several enterprises, including LLC KM TT “Tajprof,” LLC “Sayr Sughd,” and LLC “Asiapolitex,” while also engaging in discussions with their management.
Subsequently, the Administration of FEZ “Sughd” held an electronic presentation in the conference hall of LLC KF “Fortuna Co,” providing the guests with information about the activities and benefits of FEZ “Sughd.” Deputy Chairman of Sughd Region, Anvar Yakubi, also delivered a speech on the favorable investment opportunities in MOI “Sughd.”
On March 9, 2025, a visit of guests from the People’s Republic of China and their representatives in the Republic of Uzbekistan took place at SUE MOI “Sughd”. During the meeting, the management of FEZ “Sughd” introduced candidates to the advantages and benefits of FEZ “Sughd”. Additionally, the meeting covered the procedure for obtaining the status of a subject of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd” and discussed the opening of a household appliance manufacturing plant.
Under the leadership of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” on March 1, 2025, a collective cleanup day was organized with the aim of keeping the FEZ “Sughd” area clean, protecting the environment, and thereby ensuring the health of citizens. Employees of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, as well as leaders and representatives of the FEZ “Sughd” entities, actively participated, making a significant contribution to beautification, greening, and cleaning the surrounding area. During the cleanup, the employees of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration planted 80 evergreen saplings, LLC “Afrang Plastic” planted 120 saplings, and LLC “Khujandsoz” planted 70 saplings. Additionally, students of the Institute of Industry and Services cleared the ditches within the Free Economic Zone from debris and dried weeds.
On February 22, 2025, a collective cleanup day was organized in the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ) under the leadership of the FEZ Sughd administration. Employees of the administration, as well as leaders and representatives of FEZ Sughd entities, actively participated, each contributing to the beautification and cleanliness of the FEZ Sughd area.
During the cleanup, the employees of the FEZ Sughd administration planted 100 evergreen saplings, while LLC “Sayr Sughd” also planted 100 evergreen saplings along the internal roads of the FEZ Sughd. Additionally, the roadsides and factory areas were cleaned of debris, dried weeds, and ditches were cleared.
On February 19-20, 2025, the Director of “Jongwoo Green” from the Republic of Korea, Mr.Kyung-ho Bea visited the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone . The Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, welcomed the guests in the conference hall of FEZ “Sughd” and provided detailed information about the zone’s activities, benefits, and advantages.
Mr.Kyung-ho Bea presented his business plan to the FEZ “Sughd” Administration and provided specific details about it. After a productive meeting, the guests noted that, given the favorable investment conditions in FEZ “Sughd”, they are ready for economic cooperation.
Based on the instructions and orders of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honorable Emomali Rahmon, as mentioned in his recent address to the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan: “We must give top priority to the study of Russian and English languages as international languages of communication”.
Therefore, with the support of the Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sughd region, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, in order to implement the mentioned instructions and orders, English language lessons started on February 12,2025, at the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”.
Between July 20th and 22nd of this year, Mr. Ma Yuyun from the People’s Republic of China visited Sughd FEZ to learn more about the activities and benefits of the free zone. He represents Junchi Machinery and Jinpeng companies, which manufacture electric cars in China.
During a series of meetings and negotiations, Mr. Ma and his Tajik partner received detailed information about the FEZ and were given a tour over the territory of FEZ.
The guests were impressed by the opportunities and benefits offered in the free zone and expressed their intention to learn more thoroughly the possibility of the project on production of small-sized electric cars and motorcycles of various purposes.
The management of Sughd FEZ Administration expressed strong support for the project, which aligns with the primary type of activity permitted in the FEZ as per the law on free economic zones in Tajikistan. The Head of FEZ Administration – Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, in particular, assured that the Administration always welcomes such kind of innovative projects and is ready to provide support and necessary information.
At the end of the meeting, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton thanked Mr. Ma Yuyun for his interest in Sughd FEZ and reminded him that after finalizing the project with other partners, Mr. Ma must develop a detailed investment plan. The Administration and relevant authorized bodies in Tajikistan will then make decisions based on the study of this investment project.
As previously reported, the Head of Administration of Sughd FEZ, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, is on a business visit to the PRC, where he is participating in the International Business Forum at the invitation of the Chinese side.
On May 16, according to the forum’s program, participants took part in the Construction and Industrial Exhibition held at the Xinjiang International Exhibition Center, where products from local manufacturing companies were presented.
At the opening ceremony, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton gave a presentation on activities of Sughd FEZ. He began his speech by praising China’s significant role in Tajikistan’s economic development and strong trade relations between Tajik and Xinjiang businessmen, as well as the consolidated friendly and cultural ties between two countries. He then highlighted the advantages of FEZ, including its favorable economic conditions, special legal regime, and tax benefits provided to its subjects.
He noted that more than thirty local and joint companies, including those with Chinese investments, successfully operate in Sughd FEZ.

Additionally, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan in the People’s Republic of China gave a presentation on the favorable business atmosphere of Tajikistan.
After the opening ceremony, participants toured the exhibition and learned about local Chinese industrial and construction companies’ achievements. The head of Sughd FEZ held negotiations with representatives of these companies to discuss establishing cooperation and organizing joint companies in the FEZ, emphasizing its preferences for producing in-demand goods to Tajikistan and Central Asia markets.
The delegation of Tajikistan will continue its work in Qingdao and Linyi cities of Shandong Province within the framework of the forum.
