
OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE SUGHD REGION DELEGATION TO THE TYUMEN REGION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
As part of the working visit of the Sughd Region delegation to the Tyumen Region, a meeting was held between the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, and the Governor of Tyumen Region, Alexander Moor.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding interregional cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia. Both sides emphasized that the priority areas of cooperation between Sughd and Tyumen regions include industry and agriculture, healthcare, science and education, culture, and tourism. Special attention was given to the existing opportunities for developing cooperation and establishing joint ventures, particularly in processing agricultural products and cotton.
Chairman Rajabb Ahmadzoda stated that today’s meeting would serve as a solid foundation for further expansion of economic, social, and cultural ties between the two regions. “We have the opportunity to establish joint ventures and strengthen trade relations. Sughd Region has great industrial and agricultural potential that can contribute effectively to cooperation with the Tyumen Region,” Ahmadzoda emphasized.
In his speech, Governor Alexander Moor added: “Sughd Region is a clear example of rapid industrial and agricultural development. We are confident that, taking into account the strategic goals set by the leaders of our countries, our regions can make a valuable contribution to strengthening relations between Tajikistan and Russia.”
It should be noted that during their visit to the Tyumen Region, the delegation from Sughd Region toured the Tyumen Medical Center, the technopark, Tyumen State University, industrial enterprises, and tourism infrastructure facilities.
