RECEPTION OF THE “JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF EUROASIA – 2025” TOURISTIC EXPEDITION AT THE CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL COMPLEX “KHUJAND FORTRESS”

On July 13, 2025, the guests of the “Journey to the Heart of Eurasia – 2025” tourist expedition visited the cultural and historical complex “Khujand Fortress.” The guests were warmly and hospitably welcomed at the entrance to the historic site.

After that, under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of Sughd Region, Anvar Yakubi, the guests visited the exhibition of goods and products produced by the region’s enterprises, giving high praise to the quality of the displayed items.

It should also be noted that representatives of the Sughd Free Economic Zone Administration, together with their active resident companies — including LLC KM TT “Archa-Mebel,” LLC KF “Fortuna-Ko,” LLC KM TT “Silcoat Boya,” LLC “Sayr Sughd,” and LLC “Star Plast” — showcased samples of their products at the exhibition, attracting significant attention from visitors.

On July 8, 2025, within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan, the Economic and Investment Forum of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan was held.

The Presidents of both countries, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and His Excellency Sadyr Japarov, participated in the forum and delivered speeches in the presence of entrepreneurs and investors from both sides.

President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that in recent times there has been a growing trend in trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, along with the development of other areas of economic cooperation, including cultural and humanitarian ties.

It was stated that the outcomes of today’s forum would also contribute to enriching bilateral relations with new practical content.

During the presentation of broad investment and trade opportunities, Tajikistan expressed its interest in expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, and investment, as well as in strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries.

The importance of enhancing interregional trade and economic relations between the two nations was particularly highlighted.

President Emomali Rahmon noted Tajikistan’s rich natural resources and favorable investment climate, stating that the country’s legislation provides incentives and legal guarantees for the protection of business and investment.

It was also mentioned that one of the key areas of cooperation in investment is the development of trade aligned with global trends in the green economy.

It was further reported that the Head of the Administration of the “Sughd” Free Economic Zone, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, participated in this high-level forum and held productive meetings with representatives of the business community of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the bilateral talks, the parties discussed key issues of trade cooperation and expansion of economic ties with the Sughd FEZ.
At the conclusion of the meetings, the Head of the Sughd FEZ Administration expressed readiness for economic cooperation with representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On July 7, 2025, representatives of LLC “NPO Optimum” of the Russian Federation, headed by the company’s Director, Maksim Lvovich Tolstoy, visited the Administration of the Sughd Special Economic Zone.

The Deputy Head of FEZ “Sughd”, N.A. Hakimov, warmly welcomed the guests in the conference hall of the administration. Afterwards, Umeda Rahimova, Lead Specialist of the Department of International Relations and Investment Attraction, presented a detailed overview of the activities, benefits, and advantages of the FEZ “Sughd”.

Following the presentation, Director of LLC “NPO Optimum” Maksim Lvovich Tolstoy spoke about his company, which specializes in the production of elevators for high-rise residential buildings as well as large-capacity freight elevators. He noted that the company is interested in potential future economic cooperation with the FEZ “Sughd”, depending on favorable investment conditions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the guests toured several enterprises operating within the FEZ “Sughd”, including: LLC “Asiapolytex”, LLC KM TT “Afrang Plastic”, and LLC “Sayr Sughd”. They engaged in discussions with company representatives about the production processes and received information on the special tax and customs incentives available in the FEZ “Sughd”.

In order to maintain environmental cleanliness and the beauty of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, a general cleanup day was held on July 5, 2025.
The staff of the Administration and the residents of the Sughd FEZ made a significant contribution by cleaning sidewalks, canals, and the surrounding area of the zone.

PRESENTATION OF THE CERTIFICATE OF FEZ “SUGHD” STATUS TO LLC “ALI-BUNYON”

On June 30, 2025, a new entity named LLC “Ali-Bunyon” was officially registered in the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone. The Head of the SEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, handed over the FEZ certificate to the head of the company, Akmal Nurov.

It is worth noting that LLC “Ali-Bunyon” was established by domestic entrepreneur Saidalizoda Saadi Hamza, with a total investment amounting to 112,000 USD. The company’s main field of activity is construction services. Once fully operational, the enterprise will provide permanent jobs for 15 local residents.

It is reported that in the future, the company will contribute to infrastructure development by offering construction services for newly established FEZ “Sughd” entities.

In conclusion, the FEZ “Sughd” Administration wished the company’s management success and prosperity in launching the new business.

On June 30, 2025, representatives of the company “Chongqing Wei Chixing Technology Co” from the People’s Republic of China — Mr. Wan Dinliang and Chen Xu — visited the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone to get acquainted with its activities and opportunities.
The Head of the Sughd FEZ Administration, Mr. Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, welcomed the guests in the conference hall of the Administration. In addition, the chief specialist of the Department of International Relations and Investment Promotion provided the guests with detailed information about the advantages and priorities of the Sughd FEZ, as well as about the entities established fully or partially by Chinese investors.

On June 30, 2025, as part of an established tradition, the Head of the Sughd FEZ Administration, Mr. Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, expressed appreciation to the responsible employee Mr. Rahimov Kamol Karimovich on the occasion of his retirement. He was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Administration and a commemorative gift.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Head of the Administration delivered a speech highlighting Mr. Rahimov’s many years of productive service, wished him a peaceful and fulfilling retirement, and emphasized that the Administration’s team would continue to stay in touch and visit him regularly.

On June 30, 2025, Mr. Li Yuibo and representatives of “Mohir Cement” LLC visited the Sughd Free Economic Zone to become acquainted with its activities and explore opportunities for cooperation with the Administration.
The Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Control of the Sughd FEZ Administration, Mr. Sabzaev I., warmly welcomed the guests at the entrance and provided detailed information about customs and tax benefits and other advantages of the zone.
The guests then visited several enterprises operating within the Sughd FEZ, including “Tojpanel” LLC and “Sang Oro” LLC, where they held discussions with the company leadership regarding potential cooperation.

On June 16, 2025, students from the Faculty of Geoecology and Tourism of the State Educational Institution Khujand State University named after Academician B. Gafurov visited the Sughd Free Economic Zone. The students were welcomed in the Administration’s conference hall by Deputy Head of the Administration, Mr. Hakimov N.A. A presentation about the Sughd FEZ was delivered by Ms. Rahimova U., Lead Specialist of the Department of International Relations and Investment Attraction.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with and enhance their knowledge of industrial enterprises. As part of the visit, the students got acquainted with several resident companies of the Sughd FEZ, including LLC “Asiapolytex” and LLC “KF Fortuna-Ko”, and learned about their activities. At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the Management of the Sughd FEZ.

MEETING OF THE EXPERT COUNCIL ON MINING AND METALLURGY HELD IN KHUJAND

On June 13, 2025, a field meeting of the Expert Council on Mining and Metallurgy was held in the city of Khujand. This important sectoral event took place within the framework of the 11th International Trade Fair “SUGHD–2025”.

The meeting was initiated by the Economic Development Center of the CIS Member States and supported by the CIS Industrial Committee. It gathered representatives from various CIS countries, heads of industrial and manufacturing companies, as well as scientists and industry experts.

The event was also attended by the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Mr. Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton. In his speech, he emphasized the key role of the Sughd FEZ in the development of the industrial sector and invited the leaders of industrial and manufacturing companies to cooperate and invest in the zone.

The main topic of the meeting was focused on discussing pressing issues related to the development of the mining and metallurgy sectors, sharing experiences between companies, and strengthening interstate cooperation.

Participants discussed the current state of industrial markets, the latest technological advances in extraction and processing, opportunities for attracting investment, and implementing joint projects.

It was noted that such events create favorable conditions for expanding economic ties among CIS countries and contribute to accelerating regional economic development.
