
Participation of the Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” , Muhammadzoda M.S., in the Central Asian International Economic Forum
On July 22, 2025, the first Central Asian International Economic Forum was held in Dushanbe under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nuriddinzoda Akhliddin Nuriddin. Among the participants from both foreign and domestic delegations was the Head of the Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd”, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan.
The forum was organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Tajik-Russian Business Council. It aimed to expand regional cooperation, strengthen economic integration, and attract foreign investment. The event brought together representatives of Central Asian countries, international organizations, business circles, and industry experts.
In his opening speech, Nuriddinzoda Akhliddin Nuriddin emphasized that under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan has shaped its regional policy based on sustainable integration and equal partnership with the Central Asian countries, focusing on green development, digitalization, and economic integration.
Later in the forum, Nuriddinzoda A.N. delivered a speech during a session dedicated to Free Economic Zones, industrial and digital parks. He discussed the development of industrial clusters, the expansion of digital technology parks, and the use of digital platforms to promote industrial integration.
During the session on expanding economic cooperation and shaping practical approaches to regional integration, Nuriddinzoda A.N. outlined the country’s position on the need to adapt formats and mechanisms of cooperation to new interregional economic conditions and sustainable development requirements.
Additionally, in the panel “Industrial and IT Parks, Free Economic Zones,” the Deputy Chairman of Sughd Province, Anvar Yaqubi, participated and spoke as the moderator.
On the sidelines of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Head of the Administration of the “Sughd” Free Economic Zone, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, and the Deputy of the Russia-Tajikistan Business Council, Irina Mazai, with the aim of strengthening practical cooperation. The signing of this memorandum will facilitate the implementation of joint economic initiatives.
