VISIT OF STUDENTS FROM THE FACULTY OF GEOECOLOGY AND TOURISM OF KHUJAND STATE UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER ACADEMICIAN B. GAFUROV TO THE FEZ “SUGHD”

On June 16, 2025, students from the Faculty of Geoecology and Tourism of the State Educational Institution Khujand State University named after Academician B. Gafurov visited the Sughd Free Economic Zone. The students were welcomed in the Administration’s conference hall by Deputy Head of the Administration, Mr. Hakimov N.A. A presentation about the Sughd FEZ was delivered by Ms. Rahimova U., Lead Specialist of the Department of International Relations and Investment Attraction.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with and enhance their knowledge of industrial enterprises. As part of the visit, the students got acquainted with several resident companies of the Sughd FEZ, including LLC “Asiapolytex” and LLC “KF Fortuna-Ko”, and learned about their activities. At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the Management of the Sughd FEZ.

MEETING OF THE EXPERT COUNCIL ON MINING AND METALLURGY HELD IN KHUJAND

On June 13, 2025, a field meeting of the Expert Council on Mining and Metallurgy was held in the city of Khujand. This important sectoral event took place within the framework of the 11th International Trade Fair “SUGHD–2025”.

The meeting was initiated by the Economic Development Center of the CIS Member States and supported by the CIS Industrial Committee. It gathered representatives from various CIS countries, heads of industrial and manufacturing companies, as well as scientists and industry experts.

The event was also attended by the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Mr. Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton. In his speech, he emphasized the key role of the Sughd FEZ in the development of the industrial sector and invited the leaders of industrial and manufacturing companies to cooperate and invest in the zone.

The main topic of the meeting was focused on discussing pressing issues related to the development of the mining and metallurgy sectors, sharing experiences between companies, and strengthening interstate cooperation.

Participants discussed the current state of industrial markets, the latest technological advances in extraction and processing, opportunities for attracting investment, and implementing joint projects.

It was noted that such events create favorable conditions for expanding economic ties among CIS countries and contribute to accelerating regional economic development.

Visit of the Delegation of Mogilev Region of the Republic of Belarus, Headed by Deputy Governor Anatoly Sergeevich Yakubenko, to the Sughd Free Economic Zone

On June 13, 2025, a delegation from the Mogilev Region of the Republic of Belarus, led by Deputy Governor Anatoly Sergeevich Yakubenko and accompanied by Kirill Igorevich Khait, a representative of the Mogilev FEZ, visited the Sughd Free Economic Zone.

The Deputy Head of the Sughd FEZ, Mr. N. Hakimov, warmly welcomed the guests and provided detailed information about the advantages of the Sughd FEZ.

It is worth noting that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Sughd FEZ and the Mogilev FEZ of the Republic of Belarus in 2022. Within the framework of this document, both sides annually implement joint activities according to a coordinated plan. The parties expressed their intent to further strengthen and revitalize economic cooperation in the future.

The guests then visited several enterprises operating within the Sughd FEZ, including Aziapolitex LLC, Fortuna-Ko LLC, Archa-Mebel LLC (KM TT), and Afrang Plastic LLC (KM TT), and held discussions with company leaders regarding their operations within the Sughd FEZ.

Participation of Representatives of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone Together with Its Active Business Entities at the Official Ceremony of the 11th International Trade Fair “Sughd–2025”

On June 12, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the 11th International Trade Fair under the title “Sughd–2025” was held at the Sports Palace of the ancient city of Khujand.

The event commenced with the presence of government officials, representatives of the business, industrial, and investment sectors, foreign countries, international organizations, and development partners of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In his speech, the Governor of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, stated that hosting such an international-level fair is one of the key initiatives aimed at strengthening the regional economy, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, and attracting investment into the region’s economy.

It is worth noting that active participants of the Sughd Free Economic Zone took part in the fair, including: Sayyohi Sughd LLC, Samandi Sughd LLC, Tojpanel LLC, Star Plast LLC, Real LLC, Aziapolitex LLC, KM TT Archa Mebel LLC, KF Fortuna-Ko LLC, and KM TT Silcoat Boya LLC. These companies presented high-quality products that drew significant attention from visitors.

Furthermore, on June 13, within the framework of the fair, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the SEZ Sughd entity — Fortuna-Ko LLC and Podosinovsky LLC of Kirov Region, Russian Federation, marking the establishment of bilateral economic relations.

VISIT OF THE BUSINESS DELEGATION FROM THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN TO THE FEZ “SUGHD” UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF MOHAMMAD AMRONI, HEAD OF THE IRAN-TAJIKISTAN JOINT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

On June 11, 2025, a delegation of entrepreneurs from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by the leader of the Iran-Tajikistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, visited the Administration of the “Sughd” Free Economic Zone  to become familiar with its activities.

The Deputy Head of the Administration of the  FEZ “Sughd” , Mr. N.A. Hakimov, warmly welcomed the guests at the entrance and provided information about the advantages of the  FEZ “Sughd”. It is worth noting that, thanks to the direct initiative of the leaders of both countries, economic relations are steadily developing, and the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”  has opened its doors to investors who share linguistic and cultural ties.

The guests became acquainted with the customs and tax incentives and the geographical location of the zone, expressing their interest in future cooperation.

Afterwards, the guests visited several enterprises operating in the FEZ “Sughd” , including: LLC “KF Fortuna-Ko”, LLC KM TT “Archa-mebel”, LLC “Asiapolitex”, and LLC KM TT “Afrang Plastic”, where they had conversations with the management of these companies.

VISIT OF THE DELEGATION FROM KIROV REGION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION TO FEZ “SUGHD” HEADED BY THE DIRECTOR OF THE EXPORT SUPPORT CENTER, MS. ELENA VIKTOROVNA POGLAZOVA

On June 11, 2025, on the eve of the International Trade Fair “Sughd-2025”, which will take place from June 12 to 14, a delegation from the Kirov Region of the Russian Federation, headed by the Director of the Export Support Center, Ms. Elena Viktorovna Poglazova, visited the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone to get acquainted with its operations.

The Deputy Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sughd”, Mr. N.A. Hakimov, welcomed the guests at the entrance and provided detailed information on the customs and tax benefits and advantages of the zone.

After that, the guests visited several enterprises operating within FEZ “Sughd”, including: LLC “Asiapolitex”, LLC “KF Fortuna-Ko”, LLC KM TT “Archa-mebel”, and LLC KM TT “Afrang Plastic”. The delegation also held discussions with the management of these enterprises regarding their activities within the FEZ “Sughd”.

OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE SUGHD REGION DELEGATION TO THE TYUMEN REGION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

As part of the working visit of the Sughd Region delegation to the Tyumen Region, a meeting was held between the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, and the Governor of Tyumen Region, Alexander Moor.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding interregional cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia. Both sides emphasized that the priority areas of cooperation between Sughd and Tyumen regions include industry and agriculture, healthcare, science and education, culture, and tourism. Special attention was given to the existing opportunities for developing cooperation and establishing joint ventures, particularly in processing agricultural products and cotton.

Chairman Rajabb Ahmadzoda stated that today’s meeting would serve as a solid foundation for further expansion of economic, social, and cultural ties between the two regions. “We have the opportunity to establish joint ventures and strengthen trade relations. Sughd Region has great industrial and agricultural potential that can contribute effectively to cooperation with the Tyumen Region,” Ahmadzoda emphasized.

In his speech, Governor Alexander Moor added: “Sughd Region is a clear example of rapid industrial and agricultural development. We are confident that, taking into account the strategic goals set by the leaders of our countries, our regions can make a valuable contribution to strengthening relations between Tajikistan and Russia.”

It should be noted that during their visit to the Tyumen Region, the delegation from Sughd Region toured the Tyumen Medical Center, the technopark, Tyumen State University, industrial enterprises, and tourism infrastructure facilities.

Official Visit of the Delegation of Sughd Region to Voronezh Region of the Russian Federation

In order to implement the directives and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, paid an official visit to the Voronezh Region of the Russian Federation.

As part of the visit, on May 30, an official meeting between the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajabb Ahmadzoda, and the Governor of Voronezh, Alexander Gusev, was held in the Voronezh Government Hall. During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening interregional cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, agriculture, tourism, education, and culture.

Also during the visit, a joint business forum was held with the participation of a wide range of entrepreneurs and government representatives, where the economic potential of Sughd Region was presented. The Chairman highlighted the establishment of joint ventures, development of logistics centers, expansion of exports, and enhancement of tourism infrastructure as priority areas of cooperation.

It is worth noting that during the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sultan, and the Head of the Administration of the Voronezh Free Economic Zone, Maksim Igorevich Trofimenko. This document will provide a favorable foundation for the creation of joint enterprises and the strengthening of trade and investment relations.

The official delegation of Sughd Region also visited several large industrial and logistics enterprises in Voronezh, including the “Pyaterochka” warehouse network, “Global Drinks” beverage production plant, “Kobil-Group” enterprise, and “Maslenitsa” company. Both parties expressed their readiness to establish joint ventures and export domestic products to the Russian Federation market.

At the end of the visit, a closing meeting of successful entrepreneurs from both regions was held at the Stol-von Holstein historical and cultural complex. During the event, the leaders of Sughd and Voronezh exchanged views on successful cooperation practices and discussed the development of industrial partnerships, support for the private sector, and the provision of incentives to entrepreneurs.

Participation of the Head of the Administration of the Sughd FEZ, M.S. Muhammadzoda, in the Economic and Trade Forum titled “Tajikistan – Belarus”

On May 27, 2025, the economic and trade forum titled “Tajikistan – Belarus” was held in the city of Guliston, Sughd Region, with the participation of business circles from Sughd Region of the Republic of Tajikistan and Minsk Region of the Republic of Belarus.

The forum was attended by the Chairman of Sughd Region, Rajab Ahmadzoda, the Chairman of Minsk Region of the Republic of Belarus, Alexey Kushnarenko, heads of organizations and institutions, including the Head of the Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, Muhammad Sultan Muhammadzoda, as well as entrepreneurs from both sides.

The main goal of this event is to expand trade and investment relations, develop industrial and financial cooperation, attract investments for the creation of joint ventures, increase trade turnover, and find new partners.
